Guitar Amplifiers

Guitar amplifiers were at first used with bass guitars and electronic keyboards, but when broader-bandwidth sounds are needed, other instruments use a suitable full-range speaker system and different power level. Much more amplifier power is required to clearly reproduce low-frequency pitches produced by bass guitars and electronic keyboards, especially at high volumes.

Some guitar amplifiers used with electric guitars are solid state, because they are easy to repair, lighter-weight, and less expensive. Despite the drawbacks of vacuum tube amps, such as their heavy weight and the need to periodically pay to re-tube and re-bias the guitar amp (every year or two with moderate use), many guitarists prefer the sound of vacuum tube guitar amps, particularly in the genres of blues and rock. There are modern tube guitar amplifier companies that are designing fixed-biased guitar amps that require no tube biasing so long as the proper rating tube is used. There are also tube amps designed to make biasing very simple for the user.

Aluminum Die Casting of aluminum heat sinks save the cost of machining and they look better.

Aluminum Die Casting of aluminum heat sinks save the cost of machining and they look better. Heat sinks remove heat from parts and components in electronic applications. Aluminum heatsinks are designed in a way that requires less machining than other manufacturing processes. The cooling fins can be manufactured at the same time as the mounting holes. Heatsink parts are made with all features necessary for cooling electronic components and to mount the heat sinks on the printed circuit board (PC board). Aluminum heat sinks have a high dimensional stability. Heat sink production begins as soon as the tooling is produced. Aluminum heat sinks are produced at the rate of 250 heat sink parts per day to 2,500 heat sink parts per day. Heatsinks look good as raw parts or can be anodized or powdercoated. Using aluminum die casting parts for your heatsinks can save money and time.

Aluminum heat sink parts have another advantage. They are electrically conductive. This benefits the manufacturers in three ways:
# Aluminum heatsink parts do not need added cost plating in copper.
# Because the parts are electrically conductive, they can easily be electrically grounded.
# Aluminum Heatsink parts are used for RF and EMI shielding.

Heatsink parts or heat sinks made in aluminum draw heat from PC boards and have a thermal conductivity CGS of 0.23. The electrical conductivity of aluminum die cast heat sink parts is 27 percent of copper standard. Aluminum heat sinks are also very light, having a specific gravity of about 0.10 pounds per cubic inch. Some aluminum heat sinks have external threads cast into place. The maximum threads per inch die cast into place is 24 TPI.

Internet Marketing vs Yellow Pages

Seven mistakes using Yellow Pages Advertising

The Yellow Pages consultants are on commission to sell you advertising. They only interested in getting you to spend as much as possible, not on providing the best marketing solution for your business.

1. Attempting to outspend your competitor
As soon as Yellow Pages has convinced you to increase the prominence of your ad, they get your competitors to match or outbid you.

2. Putting all your eggs in the Yellow Pages basket

Ask your Yellow Pages consultant how many leads a particular size ad generates in your category. Then ask yourself how many of these leads will you convert into sales, and then decide whether this is a good investment.

3. Engaging in destructive Head to Head Competition

When you advertise in the Yellow Pages, not only can potential customers see your ad and your offer, so can your competitors. This can result in price competition that can turn your product or service into a commodity.

4. Spending too much on prominence
When spending on a Yellow Pages ad, you can invest in size and color. Size is important, but what you put in the ad, your copy, is far more important. It is better to go down a size and spend the money you save on a copywriter.

5. Relying on Yellow Pages free design service
Ad design is important. Yellow Pages do offer a free design service, but its worth what you pay. The typical design is done in 15 minutes. As they are designing tens of thousands of ads you can’t really expect any special attention- especially as there is no charge for the service!

6. Putting your ad in the wrong category
For many B2B businesses Yellow Pages is a poor marketing tool. Ask yourself the question, where would a buyer look to find out about your business- it might not even be in the Yellow Pages.

7. Depending on old technology advertising
Yellow Pages is now available online and for certain businesses this is a better option, particularly with a link to their website. However, unless your ad is near the front, you will be invisible to buyers who rarely will browse further than three pages. It is also worth paying for a link to your website.

US Military Aircraft Parts

The United States leads the world in manufacturing aircraft and associated systems. Military aircraft form the backbone for both national defense and projection of power. These air vehicles are critical to air superiority, strike, airlift, early warning, reconnaissance, command and control, ground attack and sea control. Fully one-third of the DOD annual budget ($85 billion per year) supports aircraft expenditures. Improvements in air vehicle cost and capability therefore offer significant leveraging potential for reducing defense expenditures.

Kinetic Die Casting makes Aluminum Aircraft Die Casting Parts

Sweeping global changes in recent years have presented significant new challenges to the US aeronautics industry. Perhaps most significant is the end of the cold war, bringing dramatic reductions in defense spending including development of new aircraft and engines. Perhaps the most common theme is that of the aging military and commercial fleets. Aircraft service life limits are derived from structural fatigue test demonstrations. Fatigue failure is the cracking of metal under repeated stressing. For example, bending a paper clip until it breaks is a fatigue failure. Similarly, aircraft structures are exposed to cyclic stresses in flight, such as fuselage pressurization and depressurization. To ensure safety, the military retires an aircraft before it reaches its estimated fatigue limit. Aircraft designers estimate structural fatigue life -- the number of cycles and stress levels the structure can withstand prior to failure -- through analysis and testing. The military then translates fatigue life into flight hour limits, based on assumptions about the rate at which fatigue damage will occur. This rate will vary depending on several factors, including the rate at which the plane accrues flight hours, the severity of maneuvers, and the weight of the payload.

Aluminum Brackets or Bracket Hardware Die Castings

Where to Use Aluminum Hardware Brackets Die Castings

# Diecast aluminum brackets are used to hold components on an airplane.
# Aluminum brackets are sometimes diecasted on housings for mounting.
# Hardware Brackets in aluminum hold components on an automobile engine.
# Aluminum brackets hold shelves together.
# Brackets in aluminum are used as home hardware.
# Lighting companies use brackets in fixtures.

Aluminum Brackets or Bracket Hardware

Aluminum bracket parts made are very common. Aluminum brackets can be produced near net shape, meaning no welding pieces or assembling pieces. A solid aluminum bracket is stronger than a bracket pieced together. Aluminum brackets can have the hole diecast into place thus saving the cost of machining the holes. In some cases the bracket parts are stronger than a steel welded part because the bracket can be designed with radii and strengthening ribs.

Technical Information About Aluminum Brackets
# Aluminum brackets weigh 1/3 less than steel brackets.
# Aluminum brackets can be cast stronger than steel.
# Brackets are produced from a few hundred to a few thousand each day.
# Aluminum brackets are electrically conductive.

Die Casting Tooling

COMPLETE MOLD DIE CASTING TOOL
Complete class "A" Mold Die Casting Tooling is a complete product to make die cast parts. Diecasting tooling comes in a lot of shapes and sizes. Tooling Molds for die casting are made from steel and usually weigh several hundred pounds for a complete die casting tool (complete die casting mold). Many complete molds weigh more than 2,000 pounds.

UNIT DIE MOLD FOR DIE CASTING
The Die Casting Tooling called the unit die is less expensive. Description of a Unit Die Casting Tool is it uses a master mold base already in the die casting machine and is less expensive to produce. This type of tool is faster to set up and many times costs less to produce. This tool is sometimes used for high quantities, but not often. High volume production die casting tooling is usually the class "A" complete die discussed first.

INSERT TOOL FOR DIE CASTING
Sometimes the die casting company will offer to produce a set of inserts for the customer requiring die casting parts. These inserts fit into a moldbase owned by the die casting company. The cost of these inserts are often many thousands of dollars less than other forms of die casting tooling.
