Today was the day of the great Lansco Die Casting Equipment Auction. Many other die casting companies were represented at the auction: Cast-rite Die Casting, Pacific Die Casting Company, Rangers Die Casting, Art Mold Die Casting, Commercial Die Casting, Die Casting of America and American Die Casting. Everyone there wondered how such a great looking die casting company could have failed. Lansco was laid out very well. There were three rows of die casting machines, most of them with trim presses. There was an underground scrap aluminum return conveyor so the gates and runners could be returned to a large furnace. There were several Bridgeport mills to machine die cast parts and a powder coat area to paint parts.
In the last few months, there were two other local die casting company equipment auctions; Universal Die Casting and Cascade / Pacific Die Casting (formerly W.L. Chapman Die Casting Company).
California die casting companies will see a great number more changes in the coming years. Far greater than the last few years.
Slow Poke!!!! I am ahead of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
