The last casting will also have a relatively low porosity which makes it challenging for heat treatment or welding because doing the above-mentioned methods may lead to cracks and exfoliation of the product's surface. Finally, since a big production of volume is needed for a single product, companies are limited to manufacturing only quite a few products at a time liable on the number of machines they have. The lack in porosity severely delays the production of auto parts because the metal should be permitted to cool down every time a welding process is done.
